This week’s local biz of the week is none other than our new favorite shop: vomFASS!
vomFASS is a European Market and Tasting Room with two locations; one locally in Claremont and the other in Ventura. They feature Extra Virgin Olive Oils, Balsamic Vinegars, Spices, Gourmet Foods, Craft Spirits & more! The name vomFASS means “From the Cask” in German. The vomFASS concept was born in Southern Germany over 25 years ago and came to the US in 2007.
vomFASS prides itself on providing the highest quality products for their customers. Working with small family producers throughout the world vomFASS ensures only the finest products make it into our stores and onto your table.
We discovered vomFASS on a recent outing in Claremont. We noticed a sign outside their storefront advertising wine tasting and, of course, we couldn’t pass us the opportunity to try some new wine! We were delighted to find a wide array of wine and spirits, including our new favorite: their Bourbon Old Fashioned. It’s made by blending a small batch of their bourbon whiskey and is already mixed with Angostura and orange bitters. It also contains natural cherry juice and is ready to pour and drink over ice. Delicious!
